UPDATED: Update on Changes to The WWE Raw Women’s Division

UPDATE: Wrestling Observer Radio (via wrestlinginc.com) reports that officials went back and forth on which brand Asuka would be sent to. The feeling was that the depth on Raw is not as strong as on Smackdown, and that Asuka will be better off on Raw.

ORIGINAL: According to Billi Bhatti Sportskeeda (via dirtysheets.net), the Raw brand is in the process of restructuring the entire women’s division ahead of Asuka’s arrival. Asuka is officially Raw bound, and word is that Emma was added to the No Mercy title match and has scored wins over Mickie James and Sasha Banks in recent weeks in order to give her more credibility and to make her appear like stronger competition for Asuka to beat when she arrives.
