Lexis King had an injury scare at an NXT live event over the weekend, and a new report has an update on his status. The NXT roster member caused concern at the NXT live event in Lakeland, Florida on Friday night when he took a hard knee to the face in a eight-man tag team match.

The match saw King and his Birthright partners Lorenzo, Charlie Dempsey, and Uriah Connors take on Eli Knight, Elio LeFleur, Kale Dixon, and Tavion Heights. The knee downed King and the referee put up the X signal. King is said to have had “a lot of swelling during the match.

Fortunately, Fightful Select reports that according to sources, King is feeling okay after the spot. He did not compete at the Saturday house show in Venice, Florida though it’s not clear if that was done out of precaution or if he wasn’t scheduled for the show in the first place.

King has been assembling his stable of second-generation stars in recent weeks with Charlie Dempsey the latest to join.

On behalf of 411, our best wishes to Lexis King.
