Update On Wardlow Amid Absence From AEW TV

Wardlow’s been off of AEW TV for over a year, and a new report has an update on his status. Fightful Select has a report detailing some of the reasons that the AEW star, who has been off TV since last spring, has been away.
The site notes that Wardlow was involved in a car accident amid a hiatus that was caused by what the site reports as a labrum injury. It is noted that the injury wasn’t caused by the car accident, but that it did aggravate the injury. It’s not clear if this was the car accident that was reported in April 2024 or not.
Wardlow is cleared but landed what was described as a “very appropriate and special” television role earlier this year. Wardlow reportedly met with Tony Khan, and everyone agreed that it wouldn’t help anyone for him to come back briefly, then pull him for the TV role. He is said to have a significant amount of time left on his AEW contract.
