Vince McMahon was not in attendance at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event to witness John Cena tap out to Gunther in his final match, but the WWE icon did appear briefly in a video package that aired after Cena’s final match on the show.

Many WWE stars such as Triple H, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair also appeared in the video package, which was set to OneRepublic’s “I Lived.” The video can be seen below.

The post-match celebration also featured WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk, who handed him their belts to allow Cena one last victory lap as his wrestling career comes to an end.

When WWE executive Triple H was spotted among the group, the crowd began booing and jeering the WWE Chief Creative Officer. Triple H’s wife, WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2026 inductee, Stephanie McMahon, was also there along with Triple H. Stephanie had done broadcast work for the pre-show portion of the event.

Additionally, fans appeared to be chanting “You ****ed up” at Triple H regarding the decision of Cena’s loss. The boos increased when Triple H came into the ring to embrace Cena post-match.

Cena then raised their belts, going to the corners to stand victorious in defeat, allowing fans to soak in the John Cena experience for one last time.

As the broadcast video returned to the ring, it was time for the final curtain call. Cena took his final bow to the crowd and saluted the audience. He removed his shoes, wristband, and armband to leave them in the ring. Cena then took his final walk down the aisle and out of the arena.

Before Cena left, he took one last salute to the camera and said, “It’s been a pleasure serving you all these years.” Cena then made his way to the backstage area. The legendary career of John Cena has officially come to an end.
