WWE Stock Increases 266 Percent Over Last Year, Vince McMahon Potentially Lost Out on $140 Million

July 1, 2018 | Posted by Jeffrey Harris

– US News and World Report published an article on Friday noting that WWE stock has risen by 266 percent in the last year alone. As of now, WWE stock is valued at $72.82 per share. That’s more than triple what it was worth at this time on year ago. Also, it appears that Vince McMahon lost out on potential millions by selling his stock too early in December.

As previously indicated, the stock increase is due to WWE’s recent television deals with Comcast and FOX. Additionally, WWE stock is expected to continually perform well. Additionally, WWE is expected to get a new UK TV deal in the second half of 2018. A new TV deal with India is due to be announced in the first half of 2019.

However, it appears that Vince McMahon might’ve a mistake after selling three million shares of his WWE stock last December, per The Wrestling Observer Newsletter (via Wrestlezone.com). McMahon sold the shares to help invest in his planned relaunch of the XFL.

The report states that had McMahon waited to sell his stock around this time, he could’ve made significantly more money out of selling his stock. As a result, McMahon lost out more than $140 million.
