Wren Sinclair picked up a major win on last night’s episode of WWE NXT, and she feels like fans really saw her for the first time. Sinclair won a #1 Contenders battle royal for a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship at Halloween Havoc on the show. She was technically suspended by Robert Stone, but used a disguise to pretend to be Lady Shani of AAA, only revealing herself after she won the bout.
Sinclair appeared on Busted Open After Dark and spoke about the win. She was asked about the pop she got for the reveal and whether that felt like the audience finally believed in her.
“Kind of,” Sinclair replied (per Fightful). “I feel like a lot of them have just kind of pushed me off and called me a sidekick or Kendal Grey’s friend and I felt like today, they finally saw me.”
She continued, “I feel like this has been a slow burn. I feel like they really saw me, and it felt good to be seen and to be someone they want to do well. It feels good to have that.”
NXT Halloween Havoc takes place on October 31st and airs live on The CW, ESPN Unlimited, and Netflix internationally.
