Mikey Whipwreck & Tommy Dreamer Think AEW Should Save MJF & Adam Cole For All In

The slated match between MJF and Adam Cole has been one of the most anticipated elements since it was announced for the card at the upcoming AEW All In event — which has many wondering what the promotion is thinking by scheduling the pair to team up for a tag team title match at Ring of Honor beforehand. Tommy Dreamer and Mikey Whipwreck both voiced their criticism of the decision on a recent episode of Busted Open (via Wrestling Inc). Dreamer explained that such arrangements would be better-executed after the All In show, and Whipwreck shared his opinion that a pre-show encounter would be more likely to mute the impact of the larger event. You can find some highlights and listen to the full podcast episode below.

Dreamer on when a tag match teaming the two wrestlers would make more sense: “I would have personally had that match the next week after the pay-per-view, like, ‘Hey, whatever happens — whoever is the world champion — we’re gonna fight these guys because we don’t have any animosity going into it.'”

Whipwreck on the odd nature of the scheduling: “I’m kinda intrigued on the whole MJF-Adam Cole thing, just from the little bit I saw. But throwing them into the pre-show … I don’t know, I just don’t see Steve Austin and The Rock wrestle on a pre-show of WrestleMania. Okay, if they’re doing an angle to set something up later … but it’d have to play out.”
