Former Undisputed WWE Champion Drew McIntyre has not been seen on WWE TV since WrestleMania 42.
The Scottish Warrior battled Jacob Fatu in an Unsanctioned match on the first night of The Show of Shows on April 18. Despite his best efforts, he was unable to overcome The Samoan Werewolf.
Drew McIntyre was nowhere to be seen during last week’s episode of Friday. He is not advertised for tonight’s episode either. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Drew’s ongoing absence from the WWE product stems from his film commitments.
According to Johnson, PWInsider has been told by those in the know of things that McIntyre is currently filming his remaining scenes in the Highlander reboot in Scotland. The former WWE Champion has been shooting for the movie for the past few months and was able to balance his schedule during the Road to WrestleMania 42, ensuring he didn’t miss out on performing on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
No timeline is currently set for his return to WWE television.
