Willow Nightingale Comments On Harley Cameron’s Growth As Pro Wrestler, Shares Memories From Their First-Ever Match In AEW

AEW star Willow Nightingale recently recalled her first meeting with current tag team partner Harley Cameron.

Cameron made her All Elite Wrestling debut in July 2022, facing Willow Nightingale in a one-on-one match on AEW Dark.

The Babes of Wrath recently appeared on the SHAK Wrestling podcast, where the host asked Willow about her experience working with Cameron since their first match in July 2022.

Nightingale revealed that, unlike other non-contracted stars with whom she worked, Harley was extremely warm and kind and eager to perform to the best of her ability.

“It’s been so cool. I have to say, like, before, like, getting to know her or anything, people are coming in to do work with us, and, like, they’re not officially on our roster; you don’t really know anything about them. You kind of meet them that day. Then, bam, like, you just have to work together. So you never know the background or anything. But, like, immediately, Harley was just so warm and kind and, like, eager to do the best as possible from the very first day.”

Nightingale added that witnessing Cameron’s growth as a pro wrestler has been “amazing,” claiming that the Australian pro wrestler has everything it takes to succeed at the highest level.

“I mean, she’ll tell you, she also has this message saved that is so cute that she sent me the other day. But it’s been so amazing to see her growth because she came in all ready; looks like a million bucks, has this beautiful singing voice, is a talented musician, ventriloquist extraordinaire, has comedy chops, [and has] all of these amazing things and is crushing it in the ring and constantly trying to get better,” she said.

“Many of us have been doing this for a decade, and that’s not something you could just learn overnight, but Harley is doing this on television and crushing it, and I don’t know that I would have been able to grow under the same pressure, and I’m so happy to have that kind of strong-willed and, like, dedicated, hard-working person at my side.” [From 1:58 onward]
