The drop in announced attendance for WrestleMania 42 from that of WrestleMania 41 matches reported ticket sales, per a new report. As noted, John Cena announced the attendance both nights of this year’s PLE at 50,816 for night one and 55,255 for night two. Wrestlenomics did its usual analysis and noted that those numbers are down 17% and 13% respectively from those for WrestleMania 41.

Those percentages roughly correspond with the drop from WrestleTix reports. WrestleTix’s last report had the number of tickets distributed at 50,081 (night one) and 52,000 (night two), which are down 17% and 15% from their tickets distributed numbers for WrestleMania 41 at 60,151 and 61,389.

It should be pointed out that WrestleTix does not include suites in their numbers, and it’s unclear if suite attendance is counted by WWE.

The Las Vegas Stadium Authority, which oversees Allegiant Stadium, listed attendance for WrestleMania 41 as 58,538 for night one and 60,103 for night two. Their final numbers for WrestleMania 42 should be released later this year in the quarterly report.

It was reported in February that WrestleMania 41 totaled $66 million in revenue over the two nights, breaking the record for live event gates in professional wrestling. The gate revenue for WrestleMania 41 aren’t yet known.

Next year’s WrestleMania 43 is announced to take place in Saudi Arabia.
