WWE Files Trademark For Roman Reigns’ Nickname

WWE has filed a trademark for Roman Reigns’ nickname, making the application earlier this week. Fightful reports that the company filed an application with the US Patent and Trademark Office for “Tribal Chief.”
The application was filed on July 2nd and is described as follows:
“Clothing, namely, tops, shirts, jackets, sweatshirts, hoodies; outerwear, namely, coats; bottoms, pants, shorts, underwear, dresses, pajamas, lingerie, clothing ties, scarves, gloves, swimwear; Halloween and masquerade costumes; footwear, namely, shoes, sneakers, slippers, flip flops, boots; headwear, namely, hats, caps; wrist bands; bandanas; championship trophy belts”
Roman Reigns is a member of the WWE Raw roster and the current World Heavyweight Champion. It was confirmed on Monday’s episode of Raw that Reigns will defend his title against Seth Rollins at WWE SummerSlam, which takes place on August 1st and 2nd at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The show airs live on ESPN Unlimited in the US and on Netflix internationally.
