Zayda Steel Reflects On Match With Mercedes Mone On AEW Collision: ‘Ultimate Dream Match’

Zayda Steel faced off with Mercedes Mone on Saturday’s episode of AEW Collision, and Steel took to social media to reflect on the bout. Mone battled Steel on Saturday’s show, with Mone getting the win after just under eight and a half minutes.
Steel posted to Instagram on Sunday to comment on the match. She said it was her “ultimate dream match” and reflected on it coming four years into her career.
Steel wrote:
“This month marks 4 years of wrestling, and every year I joke with my mentor, ‘The wrestling gods are always looking out for me.’ If you know me, you know Mercedes is my ultimate dream match. To get it this month was just another sign to keep betting on yourself.”
Zayda Steel has competed on both AEW and ROH TV since joining the company in January Mercedes Mone will battle Willow Nightingale at AEW All In: London for Nightingale’s AEW Women’s World Championship at Wembley Stadium on August 30th.
