Zelina Vega Confirms New In-Ring Name In Emotional Career Vignette

Former WWE Superstar Zelina Vega is ready to embark on a new journey under a new ring name.

As reported previously, Vega recently filed an application with the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) to trademark “Xelina.”

Zelina Vega and Aleister Black were part of WWE’s post-WrestleMania 42 budget cuts this past April. With her entering free agency on July 23, the former Queen of the Ring shared a heartfelt vignette on social media. The video takes fans through her journey, starting with a young Zelina watching wrestling on television and the tragic moment that shaped her life: the death of her father during the 9/11 attacks.

The video features two of Zelina’s biggest moments in WWE, i.e., winning the Women’s US Championship and becoming Queen of the Ring, and features her husband Aleister Black and AEW star Andrade El Idolo.

The video ends with Vega walking through a new door and teasing that her new era is on the horizon. The thumbnail of the video confirmed that she would be using Xelina as her ring name moving forward.

“Thank you for allowing me to entertain you as Zelina Vega. I hope you join me for this new chapter. It will be my best.”
