Shinsuke Nakamura Confirms NJPW Departure
– A new report adds some fuel to the fire that Shinsuke Nakamarua, AJ Styles, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows are leaving NJPW for WWE, Nakamura acknowledged in an interview with Tokyo Sports that he will leave NJPW at the end of the month.
Nakamura was believed to be staying longer than the other three, who had given their notice, but this certainly suggests otherwise. There is still no confirmation at this time that they are signing with WWE but all indications are leading down that road.
PWInsider reports that according to sources in WWE, Nakamura has not officially spoke with the company due to his contract still being with NJPW until the end of January. Nakamura reached out to WWE about a year ago but he had already re-signed with NJPW by the time they got back to him. At this point, the site still says that none of the four have signed with WWE yet and the WWE.com article is just in order to drive traffic their way instead of to news sites.
