Roderick Strong vs. Dalton Castle on AEW Collision Was Edited, Castle Got Knocked Out
As previously reported, Roderick Strong defeated Dalton Castle to win a shot at the ROH World title on last Saturday’s episode of AEW Collision. However, the match wasn’t without its issues. In today’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that the match was edited due to a mistake that happened when Castle was legitimately knocked out.
Castle reportedly got caught flush with Strong’s knee strike, knocking him out just before the final pin count. This meant that he didn’t kick out of the pinfall attempt. The referee stopped the count, restarted it, then counted out Castle. The finish was edited to remove the stopped count and shorten the time Castle appeared to be knocked out.
It’s unknown how Castle is doing after the incident, although he has retweeted highlights of the match on Twitter.
