Triple H Agrees To Sanction Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens At WWE Crown Jewel On Smackdown

Triple H has acquiesced to Randy Orton’s demand for a match against Kevin Owens at WWE Crown Jewel. Friday night’s episode of Smackdown opened with Orton coming down to the ring and confronting Triple H on the way. He spoke once he was in the ring about how he’s been trying to get a match against Owens, but Nick Aldis came out and said that he couldn’t make it happen and it was above his pay grade.

Triple H then came out and said that he wasn’t trying to protect Owens; rather, he was trying to protect Orton who has come back from a severe back injury and didn’t want to see Orton be injured again. He said that there’s something disconnected in Owens now and he didn’t want to put Orton in the ring with him.

Orton countered Triple H’s comments, noting that he remembered how vicious Triple H was in his career and asked what the CCO would do in his shoes. He said that he believed Triple H would handle his business and begged for the match at Crown Jewel. Triple H reconsidered and agreed to the match.

We’ll have an updated lineup for Crown Jewel, which takes place on November 2nd from Saudi Arabia, after tonight’s Smackdown concludes.
