Andrade Has Reportedly Left WWE, Moved To Alumni Page

UPDATE: PWInsider reports that, according to sources, it was WWE’s call to release Andrade from his current contract. There had been rumors in the company that his run was about to end after Summerslam.
Original: Fightful Select reports that Andrade has once again departed WWE, as his profile page has been moved to the alumni section of the company’s official website.
This is not because his contract expired, as he had eighteen months left on his current deal. His exit is also a standalone event, and not part of upcoming talent cuts. He returned to the company in time for the Royal Rumble last year.
Last month, a source noted that Andrade wasn’t on the internal injury list, despite being absent from WWE, including not being backstage at SmackDown. It’s unknown why it happened, but one source suggested this had been planned for at least a week. This changed the creative plans for Summerslam, which was his last television appearance. At one point, Andrade and Rey Fenix were set to face The Wyatt Sicks at Clash in Paris. The Street Profits got that spot instead. When someone in creative asked about Andrade not being at the event, they noted that “if it was possible, he would be.”
Several talents didn’t know what was happening or why Andrade left. They didn’t even know that he was leaving.
Andrade left AEW in December of 2023 and immediately returned to WWE. At the time, they offered him a long-term contract extension. It was believed he agreed, but before his match at Worlds End, he told them he wouldn’t sign it. It changed their creative plans at the time. AEW was also not aware of Andrade leaving WWE. It was suggested that “no bridge is truly burned in AEW”, as long as there’s nothing especially bad tied to an exit. A return could be possible, as Tony Khan previously praised Andrade and stated that they ended things on good terms.
