Note On Internal WWE Perception Regarding Big Cass’ Creative

A new report has a bit of context around Big Cass’ creative since his WWE return and how some on the creative team view the matter. Cass made his return to WWE on the August 3rd episode of Raw, where he took out Je’Von Evans. Cass feuded with Evans until last month when Evans picked up the win in a Money in the Bank qualifying match.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, there is a perception among a few people in creative that fan expectations about Enzo Amore joining Cass has been holding things back with Cass. WWE was reportedly interested in having Enzo return with Cass, although that has obviously not happened as of yet. The perception among a few in creative — though the report makes clear this is not unanimous — is that the audience waiting for Enzo to return is hampering what creative can do with Cass as a character.
It was reported earlier this week that the original plan within WWE was to keep the two apart because it would limit Cass’ upside due to his being in a tag team.
Cass has been feuding with Dragon Lee over the last couple of weeks.
