Danhausen Defends Trademarking His Face Paint Design

Danhausen has pushed back on some criticism of his decision to trademark his face paint design, addressing the matter on social media. The WWE star said in an interview with Chris Van Vliet on Insight that he trademarked the design after he saw how the Magic: The Gathering card Juri, Master of the Revue had a design that looked similar to his. It was noted in April that he does still hold the copyright.
The matter came up online after a collectible news Twitter account brought it up in a new post on Twitter. There was some cricitism from fans who thought that the Very Nice, Very Evil One was being critical of Wizards of the Coast and/or the artist for trying to copy his design.
Danhausen addresed the matter on Tuesday, writing:
“If you’re mad about this, you’re stupid.
This isn’t so Danhausen can Willy nilly try to sue people. It’s literally so no one can yell at Danhausen.”
Danhausen served as the host for last week’s WWE Smackdown, where he helped Finn Balor resurrect the Demon, as well as NXT Halloween Havoc.
