Aaron Roberts Speaks On His WWE ID Stint; Says He’d Love To Do It Again

Former WWE ID talent Aaron Roberts recently reflected on his stint with the company, admitting that if given a chance, he would do it again.

Roberts signed a deal with WWE in November 2024 as part of the company’s ID program. Unfortunately, in August this year, he announced on social media that he had been fired from his dream job.

In a recent conversation with Robert McPeake on YouTube, Aaron Roberts reflected on working with WWE coaches, especially X-Pac, during his time there, admitting that he would love to do it all over again.

“Yeah, I mean, I would definitely do it all over again. It was a good learning experience—a great learning experience. I would say working hand-in-hand with the incredible talent that’s in the program. But more so, being able to just call X-Pac and say, ‘Hey, coach, what do you think about this?’ Having that connection with X-Pac and our other coaches as well, the experience down at the PC, and learning just in and out what they’re looking for and what I need to be doing to get there. That’s the end-all: living the dream, providing for my family, [and] doing the thing I love, which is wrestling. And really, there’s only two to three major companies you can do that in, and if you know what they’re looking for, that’s the best way in,” he said.

Aaron Roberts further added that if he were to do it all over again in WWE, he would stick to his guns and not try and emulate someone else.

“So, like I was saying, it was an incredible learning experience. I would love to do it again, but this time… There’s no falling back. There’s no waiting to be told what you want; what you want me to do. If I were to do it again today, I would make sure I 100 percent stayed myself. Didn’t try to become something else. Because being Aaron Roberts got me to the show. Why would I do anything other than be Aaron Roberts?”
