Hey kids! Steve Cook here with your live coverage of Raw from Belfast! CM Punk will defend his World Championship against one of the Irish peoples’ favorite sons, Finn Balor. One of their favorite daughters, Becky Lynch, will get a chance to defend her Intercontinental Championship against Maxxine Dupri. Let’s see if a couple of local favorites can get it done in front of their people!

We’re in Belfast, Northern Ireland! CM Punk is WALKING! Finn Balor is WALKING! Maxxine Dupri & the Alpha Academy are WALKING! Los Americanos are WALKING! Rey Mysterio, Dragon Pee & Penta are TALKING STRATEGY! Pyro goes off! Michael Cole & Corey Graves are our hosts.

Gunther’s music hits! The Ring General walks down to the ring and is ready to address the masses. The fans chant about him tapping out, which most recently happened last week on Raw. Gunther tells everyone to calm down. AJ Styles made a mistake last week, he walked into the match with blinders on, he was so focused on making Gunther tap out that he forgot who he was in the ring with. Gunther runs down his list of accomplishments and says his future will lead him straight back to the World Heavyweight Championship. He declares his participation in the Royal Rumble Match. He lasted 1:11:40 last year, but before he can elaborate any further, AJ Styles’s music hits.

The Phenomenal One enters the ring. The fans chant “AJ Styles”. AJ doesn’t want to move on. He challenges Gunther to a rematch at the Rumble. Gunther says he doesn’t plan on pulling double duty, so his answer is no. AJ says it sounds like Gunther’s scared, which pauses Gunther’s exit from the ring. AJ says he beat himself when he showed Gunther mercy instead of ripping his leg off. Gunther tapped out like a little bitch. Gunther can just say he’s scared, and they can both move on. Gunther proved last week that he’s a smarter & better wrestler, and there’s no incentive to wrestle AJ again, his answer is still no. The fans call Gunther a scared little bitch. Gunther says there’s something AJ can do. Gunther tells the fans to shut up and listen. If AJ wants a rematch with Gunther at the Rumble, he can put his career on the line! Gunther tells AJ to think about if that’s a hill worth dying on, and he expects his answer by the end of the night. Unless he’s a little scared. Gunther exits the ring and leaves AJ to do some pondering.

Maxxine meets up with Natalya, who wants to make sure things are fair tonight. She’ll be in Maxxine’s corner!

Women’s Intercontinental Championship Match: Becky Lynch vs. Maxxine Dupri (w/Natalya): Cole talks about the training Natalya put Maxxine through to improve her game. I’m sure that Natalya is only there to instruct, not obstruct. Mark Nash is our ring announcer this week. Becky took the opportunity during the commercial break to run her native country down. Becky powers Maxxine down. Becky drives Maxxine into the corner, but Maxxine responds with a Thesz press. Maxxine goes for the ankle lock, Becky gets out but eats a dropkick before going outside. Maxxine baseball slides into Becky, then hits a cannonball off the apron. Maxxine tries a superplex, Becky blocks and neckbreaks Maxxine on the top turnbuckle. We go to commercial!

Maxxine fires back with clotheslines as we return. Knee to Becky’s head, then some boots in the midsection. Fisherman’s suplex and a kipup by Maxxine. Modified Rocker Dropper gets two. Maxxine goes for the ankle, misses with a boot and Becky drives her down for two. Manhandle Slam blocked into a rollup for two. Becky with her own nearfall, then a pumphandle into an armbreaker. Becky locks in the Disarmer, Maxxine rolls out into a nearfall, then gets an anklelock. Becky rolls through for two. Maxxine with a big kick for two. Natalya gets the crowd clapping, Maxxine goes up top but gets crotched. Becky follows her up and they exchange strikes before Becky hits a superplex into a DDT for two. Becky begins to show some frustration, and tells the ref to check on Maxxine while she undoes the top turnbuckle. Maxxine rolls her up, then tries to drive Becky’s face until the exposed steel before settling for a German suplex. Crossbody by Maxxine, Becky rolls through for two. Maxxine escapes the Manhandle Slam and gets the ankle lock on Becky. Becky slips out, but then runs into the exposed turnbuckle! Maxxine kicks Becky and covers, but Natalya places Becky’s foot on the rope! Maxxine asks why Natalya would do that, Natalya stands there with her arms crossed. Manhandle Slam, and the champion retains.

Winner: Becky Lynch (8:31 shown via pinfall)

Natalya shakes her head while Becky celebrates in the aisle. Natalya attacks Maxxine in the ring! Some boots & fists to Maxxine’s face. Natalya says that Maxxine will never learn. Maxxine fires back, but Natalya puts her down with a clothesline. Natalya locks in the Sharpshooter. The referee finally chooses to try and get involved. Natalya eventually leaves after making her point.

Last week, Bron Breakker smashed some people and got suspended by Adam Pearce.

Pearce talks to AJ Styles about his situation with Gunther. AJ says he’ll call his wife and walks off. Paul Heyman appears and is surprised that Pearce had a great week. Heyman mentions the Vision’s six-man tag team match later tonight, Pearce says he’ll be there at ringside to oversee things.

Cole & Graves throw to a video package setting up CM Punk & Finn Balor’s match later tonight. Punk vs. Prince!

Raquel Rodriguez tells Liv Morgan & Roxanne Perez that Stephanie Vaquer isn’t cleared to wrestle, but once that happens, she’ll become the Women’s World Champion. Liv thought Roxanne was a schemer at first, but now she’s her prodigy, and they’ll win the Women’s Tag Team Championship. Finn says that tonight they’re on his island, and he’s going to become the World Champion. The Judgment Day ladies smile & indicate approval as Finn exits.

Time to yeet! Jey Uso appears in the crowd. Jey put the tag team division on notice last week, this week he’s entering the Royal Rumble Match. Jey shouts out Big Jim & Trin, and tells the whole locker room this is a warning shot. Time to yeet!

The New Day yell at Adam Pearce about flying over here on MLK Day and not even having a match scheduled with the Usos. Pearce says they’ll be in a Fatal Four-Way for a shot at the Usos next week. I feel like that could have been an e-mail.

Rey Mysterio, Penta & Dragon Lee vs. Logan Paul, Bronson Reed & Austin Theory (w/Paul Heyman): Sure enough, Adam Pearce is sitting at ringside right by Heyman. Lee & Theory start. Theory drives Lee into the corner. Lee with a quick rollup, then a slap on the chest. Theory elbows Lee down. Logan & Penta tag in. Logan mocks the Penta walk, then kicks Penta. Penta kicks Logan, hits a Sling Blade before running into a boot in the corner. Blockbuster by Logan, he runs into a superkick by Penta. Penta springboards into a Logan uppercut. Reed & Rey tag in. Reed shoves Rey, Rey kicks him, gets caught on a crossbody, Rey flips out, goes for a bulldog but gets back suplexed instead. Theory clotheslines Rey in the corner, whips Logan into an uppercut. Reed back in, he gets whipped into Rey. Theory with some punches in the corner, Rey shoves him into the turnbuckle and tags Penta, who tags Lee and they triple team Theory with kicks. Logan tossed outside. Reed joins them, and we get three dives! We go to commercial!

The Vision controls as we return. Theory works Lee over, hits an overhead throw. I’m not sure what the fans are chanting but Logan seems insulted. Reed keeps Lee from tagging in, but misses a sit-down splash. Reed knocks Penta & Rey off the apron, then powerslams Lee for two. Rey & Penta broke the count up. Reed misses a running senton. Logan tags in, then gets kicked into the corner. Theory tags in and stops Lee from getting to the corner. Theory dumps Lee on the top rope, but Lee then ranas Theory. Nobody is around to stop Rey from tagging in, and he hits Theory with a rana. Ten punches in the corner by Rey. Some shimmying, and Theory is in position for the 619. Theory catches Rey and goes for an Alabama Slam, but Penta tags in and breaks that up. Penta Driver gets two, Reed had to break it up. Lee knees Reed, Logan clotheslines Lee. Rey sends Logan over the top, slides towards him, but Logan catches him, military presses Rey and drops him on the barricade. Penta & Lee dropkick Logan, then send Reed out of the ring so Lee can dive onto him. Theory blocks the Mexican Destroyer and hits a flipping neckbreaker for two. Heyman & Pearce are both on the apron now, and Logan tosses the knucks to Theory. The referee sees Theory, and Pearce takes the knucks. Heyman’s excuses are falling flat with Pearce, who drops the knucks. Rey picks them up and drops Theory! Logan gets hit too, and Penta hits the Destroyer on Theory for the three count!

Winners: Rey Mysterio, Dragon Lee & Penta (12:01 shown via pinfall)

A highly questionable decision there if you ask me. This Pearce guy is getting more corrupt by the week!

JACKIE REDMOND is with CM Punk. Punk says he’s playing an away game, they’re in double OT and he wants the game on his stick. All the best players do. The pressure that makes him the best is going to break Finn Balor tonight.

Cole then throws us to a Martin Luther King Jr. video package highlighting WWE’s African-American stars out in the community and having fun.

Heyman chases after Pearce backstage. After some butt-kissing, Heyman suggests that Pearce take a phone call, and Pearce does.

IYO SKY & Rhea Ripley make their way to the ring! They’ll face Liv & Roxanne this Saturday in Montreal. Rhea welcomes us to Monday Night Rhiyo. They’ll defend the championship on Saturday, but she wants to know when people will realize that when it comes to the Judgment Day, Rhea is always on top. After they beat Liv & Roxanne, they’ll be participating in the Royal Rumble match. IYO is cut off by Liv Morgan’s music, and Liv & Roxanne Perez come down the aisle.

Liv says that they’re taking the tag team championship back to the clubhouse on Saturday. Roxanne wonders how both of their entering the Rumble match will work out. Liv has some advice for IYO: Rhea always turns her back on her tag team partners at the end of the day. Rhea’s selfishness will get the better of her and leave her with nothing and no one. That isn’t her problem though, and Roxanne says that all three Judgment Day women will enter the Royal Rumble match, and one of them will main event WrestleMania. Rhea wonders how all three of them entering the match will work.

Raquel attacks Rhea from behind! IYO eats a Tejana Bomb. The three beat Rhea down, Rhea briefly fights back before Liv hits Oblivion. The Judgment Day pose over the Tag Team Champions before leaving.

Bayley is mad at herself, and Lyra Valkyria comes in to let her know that she feels bad for letting her down. Bayley says that neither of them got pinned, and 2026 is full of possibility. They could both enter the Rumble Match, and neither seem to mind if the other one wins. Lyra’s facial expression indicates otherwise though.

Je’Von Evans vs. El Grande Americano (w/Rayo & Bravo Americano): Evans is still wearing his NXT jersey to the ring even though he’s a Raw roster member now. I guess he wants to get his money’s worth out of it. Grande takes Evans into the corner and taps him on the face. Evans & Grande exchange matwork. Evans evades a kick and rolls Grande up. A couple of nearfalls for Evans there. Dropkick by Evans. Evans flips out of the way of a charging Grande, Grande misses in the corner, they shoulderblock each other on both sides of the ropes. Springboard into a rana by Evans, then another dropkick. Enzuguri by Grande, he punches away at Evans. Evans tossed outside, he superkicks Grande, jumps onto the steps and avoids Rayo & Bravo. Springboard clothesline by Evans. We go to commercial!

We return to see Evans on the floor grabbing his wrist, and he is unable to continue the match.

Winner: El Grande Americano (3:15 shown via referee stoppage)

The Americanos wave goodbye to Evans.

Earlier tonight, Natalya turned against her pupil, Maxxine Dupri.

Jackie is with Finn Balor and asking him how he deals with the pressure. The magnitude of the moment isn’t beyond him. He respects Punk, but this is his island and his people. Tonight there will be a new Irish World Heavyweight Champion. I must note that Jackie looked a lot happier after Punk’s comments.

Oba Femi is coming!

The Vision walk up to Adam Pearce. Pearce wants Bron Breakker on the show next week to smooth things over. Heyman tells Pearce that he better be on his best behavior. They leave & AJ Styles appears. AJ says he had a very short conversation with his wife, who told him to kick Gunther’s ass. Pearce makes the match official for the Royal Rumble.

Cole & Graves run down the card for Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Kairi Sane cowers in the corner, then Asuka appears to run her down. Kairi apologizes. Asuka points out that she lost twice in a row. Kairi will make sure that Asuka will win the Royal Rumble. She’ll do anything! Asuka accepts that, tells Kairi not to make her yell at her again, and walks off.

World Heavyweight Championship Match: CM Punk (c) vs. Finn Balor: The fans chant for Punk during his entrance, then do the Ole chant before Finn comes out to his classic theme music and does his classic entrance. Punk with some arm wringers, Balor goes down. Balor kips up, takes Punk over with an armdrag, Punk headscissors out and there’s a standoff. Punk works the arm, Balor to a headlock. Punk with a dropkick, then a knee in the corner. Finn with some chops in the corner. Sunset flip by Punk, Finn rolls through and hits a kick for two. Finn goes back to the headlock. Punk reverses with a backbreaker and tosses Finn outside. Punk sends Finn over the announce table and mounts the table for a pose as we go to commercial.

Finn fights out of a chinlock as we return. Finn with some punches, Punk with another knee in the corner, then a bulldog gets two. Punk goes back to a chinlock. Balor gets out, kicks Punk and they exchange strikes. Punk gains the upper hand with some jabs, Finn hits a Pele kick and both men go down. Finn sends Punk into the corners and chops & punches away. Finn goes up and over, then stomps Punk in the chest. Final Cut gets two for Finn, who is favoring a leg after the situation at the announce table earlier. Punk tosses Finn to the apron, Finn hits two big kicks and sets Punk up for the coup de grace, but Punk’s right back up and follows him to the top. Punk hits a superplex, and Balor manages to cradle him for two. Punk clotheslines Finn down. Both men back up, Punk with the advantage until Balor hits a sling blade. Punk gets sent over the top rope, and Finn decides to take flight with a flip dive! Back in the ring, a dropkick sends Punk into the corner and down into position for the coup de grace. Punk avoids it and hits the GTS for two! Punk with some elbow drops to Balor, then he mounts and punches Balor. Punk goes for the anaconda vice, might not have it completely locked in. Finn’s foot finds the ropes. Punk motions for another GTS. Finn elbows his way out of it, hits a sling blade. Dropkick into the corner by Finn, and another one. Time for the coup de grace! He hits it, but only gets two! A GTS attempt ends in a small package by Finn for two. Punk gets Balor back on his shoulders and hits that second GTS for the three count.

Winner: CM Punk (13:10 shown via pinfall)

Punk offers Finn his hand, and pulls him up. Punk tells Finn something I couldn’t hear and raises his hand up. Finn says some stuff and exits the ring. Punk celebrates, Finn stands in the aisle, and our live event comes to an end. So long for now!
