Trey Miguel’s exit from AEW has sparked heavy speculation, and the Rascalz member took to social media on Monday to express that he’s a “different man today.” As previously reported, all four members of The Rascalz signed with AEW last week. However, Miguel did not appear with Myron Reed, Zachary Wentz and Dezmond Xavier in their segment on AEW Collision and has reportedly been released. Miguel subsequently announced that he was taking a hiatus from wrestling.

Bryan Alvarez noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Miguel’s exit from the company “came from up above” and didn’t involve anyone in talent or even Tony Khan. It is not clear exactly what the issue is, but Miguel’s post to Twitter on Monday seems to suggest — though to be clear, does not confirm — a matter of past comments.

Miguel wrote:

“I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my time. I’ve always apologized and did my best to put a better foot forward after. I don’t preach hate and I don’t take any pride in being hateful. I’m a man of faith, I believe in forgiveness and only ever preach that. I’m a different man today.”

As of this writing, Miguel has yet to comment more explicitly on his AEW exit.
