Gunther Appearance & More Announced for Next Week’s WWE Smackdown

Gunther is set to make an appearance among the announced matches and segments for next week’s episode of WWE Smackdown. WWE announced on Friday’s show that Gunther will appear live on next Friday’s show. The Career Killer took out Cody Rhodes after Rhodes’ win over Ricky Saints on tonight’s episode.

In addition, Tiffany Stratton will defend her Women’s United States Championship against Kiana James. James tried to secure a rematch for the title for Giulia on tonight’s show but instead, Stratton said she could have the title shot.

Plus, a funeral will be held for the Gingerbread Man after Sami Zayn destroyed the costume en route to securing a United States Championship rematch against Trick Williams. And finally, Rhea Ripley will team with Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss against the Fatal Influence trio of Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Lainey Reid.

You can see the card below for the episode. WWE Smackdown takes place next week from the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida and is the go-home show for WWE Backlash. The show will air live on USA Network in the US and Netflix internationally.
