Seth Rollins says that he sometimes gets a little nervous watching Becky Lynch compete in the ring, and he explained why. Rollins and Lynch have been one of WWE’s “power couples” for a number of years and have even teamed up together in the ring a few times.
Rollins was a guest host on the Rich Eisen Show and has Lynch as a guest. They were asked if they get nervous watching each other, and while Lynch said no, Rollins said he sometimes does. You can see the highlights below:
On Why He Gets Nervous:
“I don’t know if I can say this… Look, I love and respect every single talent that is on our roster. I will say, they get a little loose in there sometimes. They get a little more loose than the boys. So, sometimes things can get a little — yes, feisty is a great word. A little loose. You know, an elbow flies here, hair flies there. A lot of hair flying around with it. You notice the boys, with our long hair, we wet our hair, right? So, it’s out of the way. Not these women. No, their hair is just crazy flying around in there. Fists, hands, nails, you never know what’s going to happen.
On Lynch Facing People Who Are Bigger Than Her:
“And like the size discrepancy — now occasionally, I’m in there with a giant. Omos, something along those lines. A Brock Lesnar, some sort of savage. But you’re in there often with, I find, women that are larger than you, you know? You are very tough. You’re very, very quick. Very tough.”
On Lynch Taking Risks In the Ring:
“But also like — for someone who is afraid of heights, you are not afraid to jump off the top of a steel cage… She did this at WarGames a few years back. This double cage match, this giant cage wrapping two rings. If you’re not familiar, it’s huge. Two rings, side by side, giant cage. And she’s got two women on tables, and she’s on the top of the cage. And I’m like, ‘What are you doing? Why would you do this? You don’t have to do this. You’ve got lunatics in this match who will do this for you. You do not have to do this.’ She’s like, ‘Ah, it’s fine.'”
