Not gonna lie, I’d love for Miley Cyrus to appear with him at some point, but I doubt it’ll happen. We’ve got a big North American Championship math, Lizzy vs. Izzi and tons of other stuff happening, hopefully it’ll be a fun night in Orlando.

Then. Now. Forever. Together!

We’re in the Performance Center! We see clips from last week when Tony D’Angelo successfully defended the NXT Championship from the clutches of Naraku. Then a mystery man who we’ve seen before on this and other wrestling programs appeared in the crowd!

Vic Joseph & Booker T are our hosts, and Grayson Waller is in the ring! He wants to get unreal and rattle some cages. He made his main roster debut in the main event at Madison Square Garden. WrestleMania 40, he won the SmackDown Tag Team Championship. He was on top of the world and something changed. Maybe he didn’t kiss the right ass, the last two years of his career have been an embarrassment. He had to carry Austin Theory on his back, then he spent the last year attending a funeral and talking about how good someone else was. He was dressed for a funeral, the only thing dying was his career. It’s a new day! He could sit at home, cash a check and hang out in catering, but he’s in the best shape of his life. He needs to conquer some demons, and the NXT Championship has been at the front of his mind. The title used to mean something, some of the best wrestlers in the world held it. He never held it, so he doesn’t get the star treatment. He’s here to take the championship. Who’s gonna stop him? He loves Cruz Montana’s new name. In six weeks, the people won’t care about him anymore. Being the top guy in TNA is like being the best basketball player at the local YMCA. Tony D’Angelo finally got a chance because there’s no one left. He’ll send Tony home to his ugly newborn. Somebody tells Grayson to wrap it up, Grayson tells Shawn Michaels to come out and stop him. He just walked in NXT, didn’t even wipe his feet. He calls the male NXT roster soft, lazy and happy to be here. The women are running laps around them. Maybe 10% of this roster is ready to be called up, they’re all women. The athletes are lazy, the indy guys are charisma vacuums. Shawn’s smiling back there because he’s telling the truth. Let him cook! The men’s division has been for the taking for months, nobody did anything about it but he will. He’s starting to remember who Grayson Waller is. He’s the most underrated guy on the roster, and finally his microphone gets cut out. Grayson yells into the camera and tells us to consider our cage rattled. We go to commercial!

Myles Borne & Tavion Heights wonder who Waller thinks he is, then talk about their upcoming Tag Team Championship match. Mason Rook also takes exception to Waller and is sick and tired of everyone saying they’re not it. Mason wants a piece of Kam Hendrix since he’s been talking a lot of smack, but Myles doesn’t want him messing with his match tonight. Tavion says he’ll take care of it.

Lizzy Rain vs. Izzi Dame (w/Niko Vance): Booker has decided that Lizzy is one of his favorites, and I don’t blame him. Tieup into the ropes, Izzi with a chop. Lizzy seems to like it. Back into the ropes, Izzi misses and Lizzy hits a chop. Headlock by Lizzy, some back and forth leads to an elbowblock from Izzi. Chops by Lizzy, elbow in the corner, Izzi takes Lizzy down with a clothesline as we see Cruz Montana arrive to the building. Izzi slams Lizzy for two. Lizzy with a rollup, then a spinning heel kick on Izzi. Another kick by Lizzy, then a springboard back elbow. Izzi catches Lizzy on an attempted kick, drops her on the apron and kicks her to the floor. We go to commercial!

Lizzy with some chops as we return, but Izzi drops her with a backbreaker. Lizzy kicks Izzi, goes to the corner and hits a missile dropkick. Clothesline, elbow and a kick from Lizzy, then a suplex. Lizzy does some make it rain chops in the corner, but Izzi comes back with a kick before getting forearmed down. Lizzy goes back up top, Izzi avoids the move but still gets kicked. Izzi hits a Blue Thunder bomb for two. Lizzy & Izzi exchange forearms, a backslide gets two for Izzi, then both of them tumble to the floor. Izzi gets thrown into the steps. Back in the ring, Lizzy hits the DVD for two. Booker’s calling it the Rockabye. Crucifix bomb by Izzi gets two. Izzi with a clothesline, yanks Lizzy up for a big boot. Lizzy jumps up and hits a cutter, then a clothesline. Vance on the apron with the distraction, Izzi hits a big boot! Shawn Spears appears behind Vance with a chair! Vance begs off, and Izzi’s distracted so Lizzy can hit the Thunderstruck kick to Izzi’s head for the three count!

Winner: Lizzy Rain (8:42 shown via pinfall)

Cruz Montana exchanges pleasantries with Romeo Moreno & Noam Dar. Saquon Shugars appears and Noam apologizes that they couldn’t get the job done against DarkState last week. Romeo says that they’ll do it again before he & Dar walk off. Saquon tells Cruz that he’s a changed man since the last time they last interacted, and he’ll see. Kelani Jordan warns Cruz about the lack of fair treatment around here, but Cruz leaves before Kelani can finish recapping her recent travails.

Vanity Project complain to Robert Stone about their match with Myles & Tavion next week. Myles & Tavion haven’t even teamed in over a year! Jackson Drake says that Myles & Tavion can’t touch him, and very soon he’ll be the North American Champion. Keanu Carver appears and gets quite the staredown from Myka Lockwood before she leaves. Carver wants a match with EK Prosper, Stone gives it to him. Carver leaves satisfied. Stone answers his phone and tells Grayson Waller to get back in the building now.

We see a Lola Vice hype video for next week’s NXT Underground match. Lola says that Kendal Grey doesn’t know what she’s getting herself into. She’s never been in anything like the Underground. Lola proved herself here and in Mexico. The champion needs to have a chip on her shoulder. Lola has the advantage in the Underground and will expose her next week and give her the chip on the shoulder she needs. Lola promises to become a 2-time NXT Women’s Champion next week.

Jaida Parker appreciates Thea Hail’s help last week and is happy to finally have someone on her side against Nattie and her girls. Next week they’ll face Nikkita Lyons & Karmen Petrovic. Jaida says Thea is the most trustworthy person in the locker room and Thea hugs her.

NXT North American Championship Match: Myles Borne vs. Kam Hendrix: Tieup into the ropes, evenly matched and Kam pushes Myles away. Myles takes Kam down but Kam targets Myles’ arm. Some shoulderblocks by Kam, he slams Myles over and applies the armbar. Myles rolls out of it and yanks Kam down to the mat. We see Cruz Montana making more friends in the NXT locker room as Myles works Kam’s arm. Kam breaks the hold with a punch, he shoulderblocks Myles down and slams him for a one count. Myles hits a dropkick, then dives onto Kam on the outside! Kam trips Myles on the apron and we go to Non-Stop NXT.

Kam rams Myles into the side of the ring and punches away at him before Myles whips him into the ringpost and clotheslines him down. Back in the ring, Myles lands some punches and sends Kam’s head into the turnbuckle. Myles lifts Kam and drops him to the mat for two. Kam fights back and stomps away at Myles. Kam back suplexes Myles into the corner, then hits some strikes.

We go back full screen and Kam hits a modified powerbomb on Myles for two. Kam with some blows to the back of Myles’ neck. Rear chinlock by Kam. An elbow drop gets two on Myles. Kam strikes Myles down to the mat, lifts him up and does it again while talking some stuff. Kam with some punches, Myles fights back. Some clotheslines by Myles, back body drop and a hip toss followed by a dropkick. Twisting powerslam by Myles. Kam blocks the Zig Zag and hits a clothesline for two. We see Mason Rook leaving the locker room and Tavion Heights follows him out. Myles dives into a strike from Kam and Myles bounces off the mat. Mason walks out, Tavion jumps on his back and talks him into holding off. Kam hits a Showtime kick for two. Myles slips out of a back suplex and hits Borne Again for the three count!

Winners: Myles Borne (12:03 via pinfall)

Mason Rook is now allowed to attack Kam, and they brawl off. Vanity Project attacks Myles & Tavion, but Myles & Tavion are able to fight them out of the ring. They’ll get a Tag Team Championship match next week!

Emily Agard is with Lizzy Rain and her popcorn chicken. Lizzy loves her chicken (recommended to her by Shiloh Hill) and is looking at the NXT Underground match next week. Tavion Angels is not impressed with Lizzy and her chicken, and after he beats Shiloh she’ll reconsider who her role models around here are. Lizzy & Emily eat some chicken.

The Garzas are here representing Perros del Mal and they have Bronco Nima’s back. Lucien Price doesn’t seem impressed.

Stone tells Grayson on the phone to get to his office when he gets back to the building. Zaria wants to talk about last week. Wren Sinclair interrupts and wants a new challenger for her Speed Championship. Wren suggests she can challenge Zaria for her North American Championship. Stone books them against each other next week for the Women’s Speed Championship, if Wren wins she can challenge for the North American Championship next week. and Zaria tells Wren to count her days.

OTM (Bronco Nima & Lucien Price) vs. BirthRight (Uriah Connors & Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo w/Lexis King, Charlie Dempsey & Arianna Grace): Connors & Nima start, Connors gets thrown down and tags Stacks so he can get similar treatment. Stacks slips out of a slam and tags Connors so he can get dropped in the corner. Tag to Price, Connors slaps Price and Price no-sells and slaps him down. Nima tags in, he chases Connors around and Stacks attacks him from behind. They do some clobbering to Nima and go for a double suplex, Nima suplexes them over. BirthRight get repeatedly splashed in the corner. Connors gets thrown over the top and Stacks gets his head kicked off by Price. Connors gets bealed onto the rest of BirthRight on the floor. We go to commercial!

We return and Bronco gets worked over. A swanton bomb from Connors gets two. Bronco fights back with a top rope stomp to Stacks’ chest. Nima tags in with a superkick & headbutt. Dempsey gets knocked off the apron. Splashes in the corner, Stacks with a boot. Los Garzas make their way to ringside. The referee is distracted by the Garzas & Bronco on the outside, BirthRight take advantage and Connors & Stacks hit a double kick on Price to get the three count.

Winners: BirthRight (5:15 shown via pinfall)

Nima & Price shake hands afterwards, but Price is still not pleased with the Garzas.

NXT Focus is on Kendal Grey training for NXT Underground. She knows she’s the underdog but that’s why she took the challenge. Julius Creed is involved with training her, and every champion he’s worked with has “it”, including Kendal. She knows she’s the best crossover athlete in WWE and will prove it next week against Lola.

Kali Armstrong thinks it should be her facing Kendal Grey in NXT Underground. Izzi Dame says she just got here and needs to wait in line. Kelani says that she’s the next in line. Reina Volcan says that the women’s division doesn’t rebuild, it reloads.

Shiloh Hill vs. Tristian Angels: Headbutt from Hill, he whips Angels into the corner and gets booted, Hill hits a backdrop and a clothesline. Angels with a strike to the throat. Hill fires back and clotheslines Angels over the top rope. Angels trips Hill into the announce desk and sends him into the steps. Angels misses a kneedrop on the steps, and Hill powerbombs Angels on the announce table! A cover in the ring gets two, maybe he should have hit one more like the fans suggested. Angels gets caught holding the ropes on a rollup, Hill smacks him and hits the Super Thunder Breaker off the second turnbuckle for three!

Winner: Shiloh Hill (6:31 shown via pinfall)

Cruz Montana is on his way to the ring, we’ll hear from him next!

Next Week: Vanity Project vs. Myles & Tavion! Thea & Jaida vs. Karmen & Nikkita! Wren vs. Zaria! Kendal vs. Lola in NXT Underground!

Cruz Montana makes his way through the crowd like he did last week. I have to be honest and admit that I keep typing “Cruz Santana”. I’ll get used to it eventually. He always prides himself on being real. He’s officially a WWE Superstar. There were times when he didn’t think he’d see tomorrow. Where he came up was in some of the toughest neighborhoods in NYC. Every day was a fight to survive and he made mistakes he can’t take back. Most of those fights were with the man in the mirror. Either he would become another example of wasted potential or he’d make his daughter proud. They said he’d reached his ceiling as a tag team wrestler and couldn’t be the guy. Then he started to win. He took advantage of his second chance. He loves and appreciates what TNA did for him. Tonight he’s a WWE Superstar and not a damn thing was given to him. His past won’t dictate his future. Last year he came to NXT to prove he had what it took, and now he’s here to take a spot. He’ll be the new NXT Champion. He’ll say what he needs to say to Grayson Waller to his face.

Tony D’Angelo’s music hits! The current NXT Champion makes his way to the ring. Tony welcomes Cruz to NXT. He introduces himself and says he’s seen some of the hottest names come through the door and tell people how they’ll run NXT and change the business. He believes everything Cruz said except for one thing. The problem for Cruz & Grayson is that the NXT Champion spot is taken until further notice. Cruz says he’ll show Tony how he’ll take that spot, and they stare each other down until Waller attacks Cruz from behind! Waller & Tony go at it, Cruz goes to clothesline Waller and Waller ducks! Tony gets clotheslined instead, and Grayson exits the ring while Cruz & Tony look at each other. Tony holds up the championship as our live event comes to an end. So long for now!
