Details On Creative Favorites For WWE SummerSlam

We’re just two days away from WWE SummerSlam, and a new report has details on the creative favorites to win their respective matches. Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select has spoken with sources who have indicated the current favorites for most of the matches set to take place on the two-nightr PLE.

As always, it must be noted that these are the current favorites as of now and that a lot can happen in the next two days. As of Thursday, CM Punk is currently the favorite to retain his Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes, while Roman Reigns is likewise the favorite in his World Heavyweight Championship match against Seth Rollins.

According to the site, Trick Williams is considered a favorite in his WWE United States Championship match against Baron Corbin and Oba Femi is likewise the favorite against Brock Lesnar inside Hell in a Cell. Gunther is (perhaps unsurprisingly) favored over Nick Aldis, and Chad Gable is favorite to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship from Penta.

According to one source, the other two matches are too close to call. Those are Sami Zayn vs. Finn Balor for a shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship and the ladder match to determine the Interim Women’s World Champion.

WWE SummerSlam takes place on August 1st and 2nd from US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The show airs live on ESPN Unlimited in the US and on Netflix internationally.
