During a recent interview with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp ahead of ROH Death Before Dishonor, wrestler Steph De Lander spoke about wrestling current IWGP Women’s Champion Syuri. They were opponents in a six-woman tag team bout at PRODUCE Vol. 3 earlier this month.
The tag team bout featured Allie Katch, Emersyn Jayne, and Syuri against the team of Billie Starkz, Steph De Lander, and Johnnie Robbie. Syuri’s team scored the victory. It was also a rare U.S. appearance for Syuri.
De Lander considered it an honor to work with the Japanese wrestling star and IWGP Women’s Champ. She said about working with Syuri, “Oh, she was amazing. She was so awesome, so respectful. We didn’t get to touch very much unfortunately; it was a six-man tag with a lot of moving parts, but getting to share the ring with Syuri was an honor. I was very excited to be able to get in there with her.”
Steph De Lander was in action last weekend at ROH Death Before Dishonor 2026, where she challenged Deonna Purrazzo for the ROH Women’s Pure Title. Purrazzo secured the victory over De Lander to retain her title.
