Ahead of their title bout at this weekend’s AEW All In London 2026, Renee Paquette sat down with Mercedes Mone and Willow Nightingale for the latest edition of Close Up. Although she interviewed Mone and Nightingale separately, Mone infiltrated Nightingale’s interview and ambushed the reigning AEW Women’s World Champion.
Footage of the interview shows Mone sneaking up behind Nightingale and whipping the champion with her Owen Hart Tournament title belt. She yells angrily at Willow about embarrassing her.
The footage of Mone’s attack is intercut with Mone’s own sit-down interview with Paquette. Mone says in the clip, “20 years from now, there’s not going to be a Willow Nightingale. All In is going to be the last you’ve ever heard about Willow Nightingale, and so we can celebrate her career now. ‘Cus at All In, it will be the end of Willow Nightingale forever.”
Mercedes also added that she intends to end Nightingale’s career this weekend. She continued, “She’s not going to make any more history. She’s not going to be in this business any longer because I’m going to make sure of that. Not only am I going to take her smile, I’m going to end her career, too.”
Willow Nightingale will get a chance at some payback against Mercedes Mone later this weekend at AEW All In, where she defends her title against the 2026 women’s Owen Hart Cup tournament winner.
AEW All In 2026 takes place at London’s Wembley Stadium on Sunday, August 30. It will be broadcast live on pay-per-view.
