Note On WWE Creative Plans For Kelani Jordan

Kelani Jordan had her first match on WWE Raw this week, and the match was reportedly a primer for her eventual main roster debut. The NXT Women’s Champion was part of the Women’s Money in the Bank qualifying match on Monday’s show alongside Lola Vice and Raquel Rodriguez. Vice won the match to qualify for the match at next month’s PLE in New Orleans, Louisiana..

Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select reports that Jordan’s participation in the match was intended to be her introduction to the WWE main roster audience, and that there are plans for her to come to the main roster once her NXT Women’s Championship reign comes to an end. Sources noted that Jordan has several supporters in the locker room and that one backstage source pointed out how she has shown “significant improvement” over her time in NXT.

It is felt within the company that Jordan’s eventual move to the main roster is a matter of “when” and not “if,” and that the end of the year is the current target for her move there.

Kelani Jordan won the NXT Women’s Championship from Kendal Grey at NXT Heatwave on August 30th, marking her first reign with the title. She has been part of the NXT roster since 2022.
