The title is currently held by Joseph Sawyer, but he has missed some events after walking out of his match with John Jeffrey at The Score on September 26th due to a knee injury. He has pulled out of a few indie dates as he was still recovering but is set to compete at TNA Bound For Glory on Sunday.

Sawyer won the title at night one of the promotion’s Homecoming event on August 15th.
