As previously reported, former WWE Superstar Joseph Sawyer was forced to withdraw from a scheduled Pro Wrestling Revolver date set for this weekend due to a minor injury. Sawyer has since commented on having to withdraw from his weekend indie dates earlier today via social media.
Sawyer indicated that he’s still recovering from the GCW shows he worked last Saturday. The former WWE Tag Team Champion wrote, “Didn’t think I needed to do this, but yes, I am still recovering from Saturday, so I will not be on any shows this weekend. I apologize to anyone looking forward to seeing me live, and I will find a way to make it up to you. Thank you.”
At last Saturday’s GCW The Score, Sawyer wrestled twice, first defeating Jazzy Yang to defend the GCW World Title. He wrestled the same night again, facing Jeffrey John in a bout that ended in a No Contest.
As noted, Joseph Sawyer and Samuel Shaw recently debuted in TNA Wrestling, ambushing The Hardys on TNA iMPACT! It was also announced that they signed with the promotion. Sawyer and Shaw, collectively dubbed syX, will be appearing on tonight’s edition of iMPACT!, where they are expected to address their recent attack.
Didn’t think I needed to do this, but yes I am still recovering from Saturday so I will not be on any shows this weekend. I apologize to anyone looking forward to seeing me live and I will find a way to make it up to you. Thank you.
