The Miz (w/ Kit Wilson) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (w/ Kyoki)
-Oh wow! This legitimately might be the most star power we have had in a Main Event match in the six years I have been covering this show. I’ll take it! This is Miz’s first appearance on Main Event in eleven years. The crowd is ready for this one as both these guys have fan equity. Miz pie-faces Nakamura, so Shin throws knees to the gut. Miz mocks Nakamura and then misses a Bronco Buster in the corner. Good Vibrations from Shin and he tells Miz to “come on.” Enziguiri from Shin and he lands an up kick from the apron. Kit pulls Namakura off the apron with the ref’s back turned. Kyoki chases Kit and he bails into the front row. Miz off the top with a double ax for two. Yes Kicks! I do think it’s great he continues to use those kicks. Double clothesline leaves both men down. They start trading strikes and Shin ends up getting the better of the exchange. Sliding German Suplex! Nakamura heads up top, but Kit distracts once again. Miz snaps off a basement DDT for two. Nakamura counters the SCF with a roll-up for two. Miz counters that with his own roll-up for two. Shin misses a spinning kick, but lands one on the second try. KINSHASA, but Kit grabs him leg. That allows Miz to get a roll-up for two. Big boot and he celebrates with Kit, but Kyoki takes him out with a dropkick from the apron. Nakamura with a roll-up, but Miz rolls through. He is prime position though and Nakamura connects with KINSHASA for the pin at 5:34.
Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura via pin at 5:34
-This was enjoyable. They played the hits and got their seconds involved but it was fun. I can go with seeing more matches with former Main Event stars. **3/4
Maxxine Dupri (w/ Austin Theory) vs. Andi Summers
-Interesting one here as Summers is getting a shot on Main Event before ever popping up on Evolve or NXT. Doing a quick search, she has a long history of working on the indie scene before being part of WWE’s ID program. She has worked all her WWE matches in NXT at live events or dark matches before TV. She is also from Edmonton, so another Canadian in WWE. Maxxine attacks before the bell and then once it rings, she starts throwing right hands. Andi gets a series of roll-ups and pin attempts as she is going for the quick win. Leg Lariat followed by a dropkick to the back of the head. Basement clothesline gets two. Nice so far! Theory grabs Andi’s leg and that lets Maxxine flatten her with an elbow. She stomps away in the corner and then yells at the ref. She uses her knee to choke Andi on the ropes. Maxxine is hitting her stride as a heel! Fisherman’s Suplex but no bridge. Jumping knee to the side of the head gets two. Maxxine with a knee to the back as a submission. Andi starts her comeback and comes off top with a moonsault for two. Maxxine misses a spin kick, but follows with a head kick for two. Theory distracts again and this time Maxed Out connects. Step-up leg drop gets the pin at 4:42.
Winner: Maxxine Dupri via pin at 4:42
-This was solid as Maxxine continues to get better and has been doing well with the heel character. Summers looked good out there and I want to see more either in NXT or Evolve (whenever they get through all the episodes they have taped). **

”Super” Sean Legacy vs. Big Cass
-Legacy is one of my Evolve kids that moved up to NXT and now gets his first solo match on Main Event. He was part of a tag match earlier in the year. Legacy starts cautiously as he tries to figure out what to do with Cass. Headlock doesn’t work, so he uses his speed and gets a dropkick to the knee. Basement dropkick to the side of the head. Running kicks in the corner, but Cass catches him with a clothesline in the opposite corner. Cass lays him across the ropes in the corner and fires away with clubbing blows to the back. He hits a splash and poses over Legacy. He drops an elbow to the back and another one. One foot cover gets a one count. He repeatedly boots Legacy down as he keeps trying to sit up. SOS Slam! He throws forearms to the chest and chokes Legacy on the middle rope. Abdominal stretch and he hooks the head. Legacy throws punches, so Cass releases the head and hooks the leg, which has Gorilla smiling in heaven. Cass releases and misses The Empire Elbow. Legacy flips off Cass and avoids a charge in the corner. He rolls to the apron and delivers a mule kick from his back. Legacy with a springboard dropkick, but it only gets a one count. Cass rolls to the floor and Legacy flies with a suicide dive, but Cass catches him. He lands an elbow to the face and hits The Big Boot for the pin at 4:51.
Winner: Big Cass via pin at 4:51
-This went as expected as Cass dominates, but Legacy gets to show a little bit before taking the loss. This was fine. **
-Thanks for reading and until a new deal is needed, so long Main Event on YouTube. I guess Rumble next week!
