AEW SVP Says They’ll Invest In an AEW Video Game Franchise if Fight Forever Does Well
AEW Fight Forever releases next week, and AEW SVP Nik Sobic says that if they game does well, they will invest in a franchise for it. Sobic, who is the senior vice president of business development, partnerships, and video games, spoke with SEScoops and said that if the game does well financially, they will move ahead with a full AEW video game franchise.
“I’ve worked at AEW and known Tony Khan for the last 10 years,” Sobic said. “I can pretty much tell you he is one of the most generous people I’ve ever met. I can tell you if this video game does well, we’re going to take those dollars and put that into an AEW video game franchise. Fans speak with their wallets.”
The game is set to release on June 29thon Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and PC, and fans who order the Elite Edition will get access on June 28th.
