Cain Velasquez has entered a plea of not guilty to a charge of attempted murder and several other charges. MMAjunkie reports that the former UFC Champion entered the plea on all charges against him in relation to the incident where he allegedly pursued and shot at a truck containing a man accused of molesting a young relative of Velasquez’s.

As you may recall, Velasquez was arrested and charged with attempted murder and other related gun charges in February after a high-speed pursuit through the streets of Santa Clarita in which he allegedly fired a handgun multiple times at the truck and rammed it with his own truck. Inside the vehicle was Harry Goularte, who is facing charges of molestation, along with Goularte’s mother and stepfather. The stepfather, who was driving the car, was shot, while Goularte was uninjured.

The plea was entered during a hearing on Friday. Velasquez was previously denied bail, and an appeal is currently pending. A pre-trial hearing is set for September 26th, with a motion hearing set for August 29th.
