– In an interview with ESPN MMA, Dana White discussed his infamous “women will never fight in the UFC” quote.

On why he was originally against women fighting in UFC: “I was trying to get people to accept the men fighting in the cage. And I’m going to admit, ya know, there’s this male chauvinist side to all of us. I don’t want to see a pretty girl getting elbowed in the face. Who wants to see that? I don’t wanna see that. Then I met Ronda Rousey.”

White went on to say that he thought Rousey was the woman who could “blow this whole thing up.” He went on to say that bringing women to UFC was the “best decision I ever made.”
