At the post-fight press conference for UFC on ESPN+ 3, Thiago Santos discussed his main event knockout win over Jan Blachowicz. Below are some highlights from the press (h/t MMAjunkie). The fight card was held on Saturday in Prague, Czech Republic. You can check out 411’s full coverage of the fight card RIGHT HERE.

Santos on having an injury before the fight: “I had an injury. Last week I could barely walk. I spent the week treating my knee, going to the doctor, doing physical therapy. And, well, I decided to fight. I was able to recover it well. It still bothered me, still does. I’m going to do some tests, but I believe it’s nothing serious.”

Thiago Santos on getting another finish: “I’m very happy. Now, I look forward. And, in front of me, I see only a title shot… There’s no one else in front of me. I beat the fourth in the rankings (Blachowicz). The third (Smith) is fighting for the title now. I’m the next one.”

Santos on not being a favorite in a title fight: “For sure, I won’t be the favorite. For sure, they will think Jon Jones will beat me. And I will shock the world, as I have been doing. I’m here, in this position where I’m at, for a reason. I want my shot. I want my opportunity. I’ve earned it. I want my opportunity. Just give me the opportunity, and I will shock the world.”
