Updated UFC 216 Salary List: Tony Ferguson Receives Top Payout
As previously reported, Tony Ferguson was the big money winner at UFC 216. Ferguson beat Kevin Lee in the main event of the fight to pocket $500,000. MMAjunkie has the full list of payouts, which totaled $2.178 million. However, there were some updated figures for the fight card that have been released.
Specifically, Mark Godbeer, who was originally scheduled to face Walt Harris for the fight card, was paid his full show and win money. Harris was shifted to face Fabricio Werdum at the last minute when Werdum’s originally scheduled opponent, Derrick Lewis, was pulled from the card due to injury.
Fabricio Werdum was the second-highest earner at $400,000. Demetrious Johnson brought in $370,000, which did not include a win bonus like Ferguson and Werdum’s paydays did. Lee took home $250,000 for his main event loss.
