Andy Serkis Officially Signed On to Direct Venom 2

Andy Serkis is a go to direct the next Venom movie. THR reports that Serkis has closed a deal to direct the next film, which will feature the return of Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock.

Serkis posted to Instagram, as you can see below, confirming the news himself. Serkis will direct from a script by Kelly Marcel, and takes over the franchise from Ruben Fleischer. Fleischer had to step away from the franchise due to his work on Zombieland 2.

Venom 2 is also expected to see Woody Harrelson expected to reprise his cameo role from the first as Cletus Kasidy, aka Carnage. No release date is set.
