Bad Boys For Life Getting Early Digital Release

With theaters closing thanks to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, several movies have been given early digital releases. Some, like The Hunt and Onward, were only weeks into theatrical runs. Others, like Sonic the Hedgehog, had been out for a little longer. Variety reports that Sony Pictures will give an early digital release to Bad Boys For Life on March 31, a little under a month before it was set to hit 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD.

The release window for digital releases have been moved up as of late; with the theaters closed, everything from Birds of Prey to The Invisible Man either is available on VOD or will be available soon. Bad Boys For Life opened on January 17 so it largely wasn’t affected, as it earned $204 million in North America. At this time, it’s the highest-grossing movie of the year.
