Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Trailer Sees Lydia & the Ghost With the Most Team Up

A new trailer has been released for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, and it reveals more of the story — including a team-up between Lydia Deetz and Beetlejuice. Warner Bros. released the full trailer for the long-awaited Tim Burton sequel on Thursday, and you can see it below.

The trailer reveals that Lydia (Winona Ryder) is forced to summon Michael Keaton’s titular bio-exorcist in order to protect her daughter Astrid (Jenna Ortega), who has been kidnapped into the Underworld. We also get more looks at Monica Belucci’s Delores and Justin Theroux’s Rory, plenty of underwold shenanigans and, of course, Beetlejuice scheming and being generally gross and untrustworthy.

The film is directed by Burton from a screenplay by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar and releases on September 6th. It stars Keaton, Ryder, Catherine O’Hara, Theroux, Bellucci, Arthur Conti, Ortega, and Willem Dafoe and is described as follows:

After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia’s life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened.
