Sarah Paulson Won’t Say What Her Character Saw In Bird Box
While Sarah Paulson is now busy with the premiere of Glass this weekend, she also still seems pretty fixated on Bird Box, telling Bloody Disgusting that she will never reveal what her character saw that prompted her to kill herself.
Paulson had a minor role in the film as Jessica, the sister of Sandra Bullock’s Malorie. The movie never reveals the unseen creatures, though they almost did, but it led Paulson’s character to kill herself.
“Oh, that’s something I’m not going to share,” Paulson said. “I mean, it’s sort of the magic of moviemaking.”
Paulson said that director Susanne Bier did not actually give her a hint on what her character saw, so she invented her own vision.
“There wasn’t even a green piece of tape for me to look at. I was just looking straight ahead. I think my car was being pulled, being towed so it looked like I was driving. I just had to stare off into the middle distance and freak the fuck out.”
This follows news that the film could have had a much darker ending.
