Boulet Brothers Sign Deal With Shudder To Expand Dragula Franchise

The Boulet Brothers are all in with Shudder, signing a new deal to expand the Boulet Brothers’ Dragula franchise with a spinoff series and more. AMC Networks announced on Monday that Shudder has signed a multi-project deal to with the horror drag stars for a new season of The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula, a spinoff series and a new special that will arrive in the next twelve months.
The deal comes after the alternative drag competition series, which moved to Shudder in 2021, became the streamer’s most wtached series of the year. It was preceded on Shudder by The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula Resurrection, a special that saw previous season cast members return for a chance to be contestants in the fourth season. Seasons two and three have moved to Shudder, with season one set to be added once it is finished being remastered.
Details on the spinoff series have yet to be revealed, but the announcement notes that it has already finished principle filming and will debut this fall as a full season series based on Dragula.
“With The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula and Resurrection, the Boulet Brothers have proven to be uniquely talented producers and storytellers, creating innovative, inclusive programming that smashes genres and draws a large and loyal following,” said Craig Engler, Shudder’s General Manager. “We’re excited to be working with them on their upcoming new competition series, with more to come in 2023.”
