Charlize Theron Is an Immortal Mercenary In Trailer For Netflix’s The Old Guard

The trailer for Netflix’s new comic book adaptation The Old Guard is online, giving us our first look at Charlize Theron as an immortal badass for hire. Netflix released the first trailer for the action film on Thursday, which you can check out below along with the poster for the film.

The trailer adaptation of Greg Rucka’s graphic novel gives a look at Theron’s Andy, the leader of a covert mercenary group. During a job, something goes very wrong and they must eliminate a threat to them and their secret. We also get a look at KiKi Layne as Nile, the newest soldier to join the group and becomes instrumental to the plot.

The film hits Netflix on July 10th and is described as follows:

Led by a warrior named Andy (Charlize Theron), a covert group of tight-knit mercenaries with a mysterious inability to die have fought to protect the mortal world for centuries. But when the team is recruited to take on an emergency mission and their extraordinary abilities are suddenly exposed, it’s up to Andy and Nile (KiKi Layne), the newest soldier to join their ranks, to help the group eliminate the threat of those who seek to replicate and monetize their power by any means necessary.
