CM Punk Reprises His Role On Mayans M.C.
CM Punk made his return to TV last night, reprising his recurring role on FX’s Mayans M.C.. Punk returned to the show in the role of Paul, a military veteran who is dealing with PTSD and trying to adjust to life as a father. Punk previously played in two episodes of season four last year; you can see the scene from last night’s episode below.
As was reported last year, showrunner Elgin James revealed that the role was specifically written for Punk, noting:
“We kind of crafted this for him actually. We knew we wanted to get into the storyline with Rocco and to do right by the veterans. And then we kind of were like, ‘Well, what are the right ingredients to tell this story? And then this is a perfect opportunity to finally work with Phil. He’s the man.”
Punk, who is set to make his return to wrestling television on the June 17th debut of AEW Collision, is also set to return to Heels for its second season in his role as Ricky Rabies.
