Coming 2 America Trailer Sees King Akeem Bring His Son Home

The trailer for Coming 2 America is online, presenting a new culture clash as Akeem discovers his son and brings him home to meet the royal family. Amazon Prime Video has released the trailer for the long-awaited sequel to Coming To America, which you can see below. The trailer features Akeem (Eddie Murphy) and Semmi (Arsenio Hall) coming back to the USA to locate Akeem’s son and offer him the position as heir to the throne. In addition to some serious collision between the people of Zamunda and his very American son Lavelle (Jermaine Fowler), Akeem must choose between honoring his father’s (James Earl Jones) dying wish to groom Lavelle to take the throne and the desire of his daughter Princess Meeka (KiKi Layne) to become queen. All the while, General Izzi (Wesley Snipes) is looking to usurp rule.

The film also stars ari Headley as Queen Lisa, John Amos as Cleo McDowell, Louie Anderson as Maurice, Leslie Jones, Tracy Morgan, Bella Murphy, Rotimi, Nomzamo Mbatha, and Teyana Taylor. Directed by Craig Brewer from a script by Kenya Barris, Barry W. Blaustein, and David Sheffield, with story by Barry W. Blaustein, David Sheffield, and Justin Kanew, it releases on Amazon Prime on March 5th.
