It’ll be an extra year until we see Indiana Jones 5, as Disney has pushed out the movie to 2023. Deadline reports that the anticipated Lucasfilm sequel has been delayed from July 29th, 2022 to June 30th, 2023. The move comes at the same time as Disney delayed it’s MCU Phase Four films starting in 2022 forward.

Indiana Jones 5 is currently in production in Italy and stars Harrison Ford, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Antonio Banderas, Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Kretschmann, Boyd Holbrook, and Shaunette Renée Wilson, with James Mangold directing from a script he co-word with Jez and John-Henry Butterworth. Plot details are being kept under wraps. Steven Spielberg was originally set to direct but will still produce alongside Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall, and Simon Emanuel. John Williams will be back to score the film.
