Emma Stone Shoots Down Reports She’s In Spider-Man: No Way Home
There have been rumors that Emma Stone would be reprising her Amazing Spider-Man role as Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man: No Way Home, but Stone herself has now shot them down. Speculation has been flying for months about cast members returning for the film, due in part to Jamie Foxx and Alfred Molina being confirmed to reprise their roles from the Andrew Garfield and Toby Maguire franchises, respectively. Much like Andrew Garfield did earlier this month, Stone has denied that she will be back for the MCU film.
“I have heard those rumors,” Stone said in an interview with MTV News. “I don’t know if I’m supposed to say anything, but I’m not [involved]. I’m not … I don’t know what you’re supposed to respond as an alumnus.”
Thus far, confirmed stars for the film are Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Zendaya, Jason Batalon, Marisa Tomei, Tony Revolori, Hannibal Buress, Foxx, and Molina. The film will reportedly tie into the events of the upcoming Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, which has led to some of the speculation that Maguire, Garfield, and others will be appearing.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is scheduled to hit theaters on December 17th, 2021.
