As previously reported, there were talks in place to rescue the acclaimed science fiction TV series, The Expanse, which was in danger of being cancelled after its third season on SyFy. The show has now been rescued thanks to Amazon.

Co-star Cas Anvar shared a video of Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos confirming that the show was saved at last night’s National Space Society’s International Space Development Conference in Los Angeles, California. You can check out the video of Anvar tweeted out below.

Bezos stated at the conference, “I was talking to the cast half an hour ago, before the break for dinner started. I was telling them that we are working hard at Amazon to save The Expanse but it wasn’t a done deal yet. During dinner, ten minutes ago, I just got word that The Expanse is saved.”

While speaking at the National Space Society’s International Space Development Conference in Los Angeles last night, Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos confirmed that the streaming service will pick up The Expanse after its cancellation at SYFY.

Season 3 of the show is currently airing on SyFy. The show is executive produced by Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby and showrunner Naren Shankar.
