Fast and the Furious 9 Release Date Pushed Back

Variety reports that Fast and the Furious 9 has been pushed back from an April 10th, 2020 release to the start of Memorial Day weekend on May 22nd, 2020. This is the second time the film’s release has been pushed back, as it was originally scheduled to open on April 19th, 2019.

Godzilla vs. Kong and The Spongebob Movie are both scheduled to open on May 22nd, 2020 as well.

2017’s The Fate of the Furious was a huge success, grossing $1.2 billion worldwide. The franchise as a whole has grossed over $5 billion since 2001.

The franchise’s first spinoff film, Hobbs & Shaw opens August 2nd.
