Gal Gadot has provided some new details of her negative experience with Joss Whedon on the set of Justice League, echoing reports that he threatened her career. Gadot spoke with Israeli news outlet N12 on Saturday (per CS.net) and was asked about her experience with Whedon on the set of the film, noting that he threatened retribution against her and that she “took care of it.”

Gadot said in the interview, “I had my issues with Joss, and I handled it. He threatened my career and said that if I’ll do something, he will make sure my career is miserable, and I took care of it on the spot.”

Gadot had previously said that she had an “experience” with Whedon “which wasn’t the best one, but I took care of it there and when it happened. I took it to the higher-ups.” Her latest comments confirm some of a report from THR in April, which said that Gadot had multiple concerns with Whedon’s revised script for Justice League that made Diana more aggressive and didn’t match with how she had been portrayed in her solo film. The report noted that Whedon pushed Gadot to record lines that she didn’t like and threatened to harm Gadot’s career, with one witness on the production saying that “Joss was bragging that he’s had it out with Gal. He told her he’s the writer and she’s going to shut up and say the lines and he can make her look incredibly stupid in this movie.”

Gadot has supported the claims of Ray Fisher, who has been vocal about his allegations surrounding Whedon. Those allegations led to an investigation, which reportedly led to Whedon’s exit as showrunner from HBO’s The Nevers.
